It's a fact computers hate neon colors.

This nail polish doesn't look at all like this:
 ...or this for that matter.
That being said I have a hell of a lot of pictures today, because they all captured this hot pink in a different way, but none of them quite like how they look in real life. For this mani I started with 1 coat of my favorite nude polish Sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle in  Innocent Nude, freehanded some China Glaze Pink Voltage on the tips, and topped that all off with China Glaze Shooting Stars.

Definitely a bit bright, and maybe more for Summer than Spring, but for me it's never too early to break out the hot pink polish. heh

You can see a lot of the holo deliciousness here
Bright colors just make me happy.

Some of my Stash, since I'm seriously feigning new polish

Seeing as how I lost not only my debit card (for about the billionth time), but also my drivers license, which means I can't get a new debit card until I get my new drivers license! Anyone who has ever been to DMV, knows that could take at least a month. :( This is putting a serious cramp in my nail polish shopping. I decided that maybe it was a sign of sorts, to take a mini nail polish shopping break, but it's only been a few days and I'm feigning a nail polish run so badly! Holy hell, I'm a total addict! hah
I thought it might make me feel a little better to post a recent picture of my stash...
I happened to have a good portion of my stash on the couch while deciding which colors to use, in the pre-Melmer days (aka a week ago hah),  and I was slightly impressed. I felt like sharing because I feel like my fellow polish junkies may be the only one's that understand, cause my mom certainly doesn't. hah Here goes:

My stash is much more organized at the moment, and I'm in the process of making a google spreadsheet, horrah!

Finally Spring Mani!

My second go at a Spring themed mani, and I think I got it right this time! yay! I really enjoyed this one, and hated taking it off. Maybe that was because it's pretty different from what I usually do. All of these polishes are part of the insane haul from this month.. maybe one day I'll do a post of it... If I'm not feeling totally ashamed :-/   My bank account hates me!

My Konading was a little weak on this one... the polish kept drying on the stamp.

Yay! Nothing says Spring like pink glitter! :)
Detail of my thumb with a purple rhinestone.
My cuticles on my thumbs are so disgraceful, due to a horrible nervous habit of picking my thumbs.. ew.
I think I'm going to enter this into the "ThatsSOFresh" Spring nail art contest.. just for fun since I have yet to enter any nail art contests. Check it out, and enter it too! http://thatssofresh.blogspot.com/2011/03/bring-spring-in-with-wowsocool-contest.html

Recycled Leopard

Being a broke, lazy (read:busy) college student I don't always have the time, or patience to do a new mani every day (although believe me I'd love to!), though my short attention span leaves me bored of a mani after about a day. What's a girl to do?
Recycle!
As you'll see, I am a big fan of mani recycling. Maybe this is "cheating" to post these on my blog, but hopefully it may give you guys some ideas on how to change up a mani without completely changing a mani.

I'm a serious animal print freak... fair warning.

I really love the little pop of blue with the "spots"
Here's what the City Color looks like,
on my lovely windowsill
Pretty self explanatory I think.. I added some blue "spots" with City Color "Light Blue" (ehhh.. there's no name to be found on the bottle so that's what I'm calling it), using my dotting tool.

Purple Holo AND Leopard!!

Oh man, I haven't posted a mani since Monday! Sorry people had a crazy week, I took pictures but haven't had the chance to post them.

I'm loving my current mani so much that I've been wearing it for three whole days! hah I feel like this is a record for me.. I generally get bored after a day or two at the max. I did do a little recycling with it (I tend to recycle my manis a lot, because I get bored easily, and have no time lately), which I think I'll show tomorrow. I used Color Club's Fashion Addict for the base color, and it is a totally gorgeous holo! It's my third Color Club polish and I am thoroughly addicted! It was relatively opaque with one coat, but I did two anyway.
Anyway here she is:
This one's in daylight
I used another Color Club holo Wild at Heart for the stamping, which worked surprisingly well!

The last two are under my lamp

I feel like you can almost see the holo-awesomeness of this polish in this one

New OPI Shatter?... Yes, please!

I'm waaaay too excited for this! Why must May be so far away..

I'll take the Blue, Red, Turquoise, and White... or maybe just all of them. hah
Anyone else as excited about this as I am?

NoTD: So Called Spring

So seeing as how Sunday was the first day of Spring, I set out to do a "Spring" mani... but somehow I got lost along the way and by the end I realized I made a Winter mani instead. hah In the end it almost worked out, because today is not at all spring like. It's cold, and gross out, it was even snowing this morning.

Anyway... I really love this color combo especially For Audrey with the flakey glitter Color Club Covered in Diamonds (which is one of the many polishes from this weekends nonsensically huge haul). I'll have to keep this one in the back of my head of next winter! Oh and I get to show you my horrible "freehand frenching" hah.

Soo pretty! Minus my blobby white tips! hah.. one day I'll get it right without the scotch tape!

I found the formula on the "Covered in Diamonds" very thick, but not unusable. Just slightly annoying because the flakes wanted to stay on the brush rather than stick to my nails.

Booo! Horrible cleanup job!

I also needed two layers of the Seche Vite, in order to just smooth it out because there were so many flakes sticking out everywhere. You can somewhat see one of the flakes still sticking out in the photo below.

Here you can semi see my blobby tips, and also a flake of the glitter sticking out.

As you all can see my nails are mighty short. I'm trying to grow them out but they keep breaking when they get to a certain length., and they are always peeling, which I'm assuming makes them even more brittle. :(

I had been using Gelous for the past month or so, but it didn't seem to be helping. I just started using OPI's Nail Envy:Sensitive & Peeling formula, I'm hoping that helps.
Anyone have any luck with this, or any suggestions for me on what to try?

Base: OPI's Nail Envy

Yay picture!!

Ok, so I have a serious backlog of pictures of manis at the moment because I had planned on starting this blog about a month ago.. but alas life got in the way.

So anyway...
When I went to my local Sally's they had the $4.99 China Glaze sale, and I was stoked to find a whole display full of Tronica polishes, but as we all know now, they kinda suck! grrr!! All I wanted was a good linear holo!.. in fact a good holo at all (I have now found a few).  The only one that I found actually had any linear holo at all in the batch that I bought (of Techno Teal, Virtual Violet, Hologram and Electric Magenta) was Hologram. No pics of it, cause frankly there are already pics of this collection all over the blogs, but I do have a pic of my stamping attempt with these "holos".

Yay, first pic!
Ok so here's the deal...
Base: A Sally Hansen I can't find at the moment (shocker)
Plate: BM21
Stamp: A tricolor stamp of Techno Teal, Electro Magenta, and Virtual Violet
Tips: Sinful Colors Black on Black (with the scotch tape type deal)
Topcoat: Seche Vite (<3)

Hi Everyone!! (aka My First Post)

...more like "Hi No one" seeing as how I have no followers and am pretty much talking to myself. hah

Well, I guess I should introduce myself...
My name is Danielle, and I'm a polish addict. hah

It's so unbelievably sad sometimes... I spent waaaay too much money this weekend on nail polish (I now need to take a few weeks off from this polish shopping binge).

Oh right besides my polish addiction, I'm a college student, so polish is my main procrastination from doing my schoolwork. I hope to post some picture of my recent manis in a few... but we'll see if I procrastinate that as well, or maybe actually do my homework *gasp*.
